I’m a big fan of the homemade video hustle. This is a great local talk show by this mad talented dude I used to deal with, but sometimes you can bust out a bottle of grey goose and some funny edits and the used to loses it’s stigma. Bottom line, Mental Wealth is the homies, Werd makes fun stuff, and booze is delicious.

You can peep buy Mental Wealth gear off their website or at Sharks and Hammers in Gastown. Stay up on their Fall line this year too, ya girl did some modelling (sheesh) for one design, not to mention some other cats you might know (Asim and Benny put on for they city!)

There was a big 2 year anniversary party for the epic Blastramp thursdays at The Bourbon last night. All the usual suspects were there (my gay husband[too!many!punctuations!to!makefunof], sincerely Hana, Ian Wyatt, the lovely Dax [of whom i'm indebted one thousand cover charges to], visuals marek and/or kellen made another dope video which included my future baby daddy, and also like 5 special guest DJ’s probably, and then HOT HOT HEAT dropped a surprise set right up in that bitch! It was really fun, and narcissism magnet supreme (not excluding myself, i keeps it real) Mark the Cobrasnake was there to document the whole shit, which is always fun and useful as a “remembering last night” tool. Guess who’s grill ended up as the prestigious “album cover”? IT’S YA GIRL!

Vancouver’s best live underground venue closed abruptly last month, leaving a gaping hole in the hearts of Vancouver’s party goers and throwers, and solidififing 2009’s favorite new moniker of the “No Fun City”. Malice has set up a paypal doantion page, so raincheck the sushi and throw a 20 down on something that will make a difference. Doin’ it bigger and better in ‘09, The New Forms Media Society presents Midforms ‘09, a 3-day celebration of art in the digital age. One exhibition you can’t afford to miss (it’s free) is the Neograf (large scale bombing with use of a projector) which will take place on the Great Northern Way campus (google maps is the illest!) after 10pm on March 5-7th. Artists in attendance include Rhek, Virus, Snak, Fatso and The Dark. And don’t be shy to swipe the pen from one of them to rep yo set!
